The Process of Giving Birth

Stage 1 : Opening
Characterized by the opening of the cervix, due to the presence of uterine contractions periodically to push the baby into the birth canal. The first stage to be complete if it has reached the ten opening. Contractions will become more frequent and stronger, lasting about twelve to fourteen hours.
Stage 2 : Labor of Baby
The head of the fetus is down into the pelvic space occurs pressure on the pelvic floor muscles that cause tension like the desire to defecate. You will feel the baby's descending movement, because the baby is doing at your back motion. The baby change the position of his head to get the best position. You will feel strong pressure in the perineum. Perineum is elastic but there is also a cutting in the perineum (episiotomy), to prevent torn perineum area until anus.
Stage 3 : Labor of Placenta
After the baby is born, then the placenta will come out by it self. This stage lasts five to thirty minutes followed by bleeding from one hundred to two hundred cc.
Stage IV : Monitoring of postpartum
This stage is monitoring the danger of bleeding, lasting about two hours. Why should the supervisory stage be done? In some cases of labor there are some women who experience weakness of contraction or absence of uterine  muscleses contraction then there is a very heavy bleeding.
